RAPPER XXXTentacion’s ex-girlfriend has revealed her heartache as fans held a memorial 24 hours after he was gunned down in Florida.
Geneva Ayala, who was allegedly abused by the 20-year-old while pregnant with his child, said she’s “broken” following his death on Monday.
Writing on Twitter, she said: “I don’t care if no one cared about me however many months ago, i didn’t lose my life. he did.
“It’s permanent. I’m still here. like how do you think that makes me feel?
“Everyone expecting me to be relieved or happy?! No, I’m broken.”
XXXTentacion, whose real name was Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, was awaiting trial for allegedly assaulting Ms Ayala when he was fatally shot outside a motorcycle dealership in Miami.
Ms Ayala reportedly told prosecutors that during one fight, he threatened to sexually attack her and would assault her “every three or four days”.
She told the Miami New Times: “His favourite thing was to just backhand my mouth. That always left welts inside my lips.”
It is reported she has now received a flood of donations to help fund surgery to repair injuries XXXTentacion allegedly caused.
Within minutes of the news of the singer’s death, Geneva had more than $1,000 (£760) donated by hundreds of fans on her GoFundMe page.
XXXTentacion is said to have beaten her so severely in 2016 that it caused two black eyes and a damaged optic nerve.
She now needs surgery on her eye, said to cost more than $25,000 (£19,000).
Police in Miami continue to investigate the rapper’s murder and are offering a $3,000 (£2,300) bounty.
A day after the rapper, who pronounced his stage name “Ex Ex Ex ten-ta-see-YAWN”, was slain outside Riva Motorsports, fans gathered to place candles, flowers and teddy bears.
Around 100 yards of pavement was decorated with chalk art, including intricate drawings of him and messages of sympathy and loss such as “Feel for you XXX” and “4evr Young.”
Mourners Myles O’Hara, 17, and Aaron Gavin, 20, said they admired XXXTentacion because he was a local kid who rose from rough circumstances and was making a positive contribution.
Myles said: “He had some legal allegations before, but the last year he had only been a positive influence on people’s lives, making hit Billboard songs.
“He has been a kind person. He was just a normal kid like us … His style is almost hard to explain. He had an angry tone. He meant everything he said, even the most simplistic words.
“It just came off his tongue like nothing. He was speaking his mind.”
Aaron said: “X talked about how he felt instead of materialistic things like owning this car, this car, this house, this house.
Brandon Lang, a 29-year-old magazine owner, said XXXTentacion may have had an angry persona in his performance, but in reality he “did good things,” pointing out that he had come home to perform in an upcoming charity show.
He said: “He had all these mistakes that could have wound up defining him but he didn’t let that happen.

Detectives believe X was shot in a random robbery after leaving the motorcycle shop’s car park in his luxury BMW electric car.
Attorney David Bogenschutz said investigators told him the musician had visited a bank shortly before the shooting and possibly withdrew cash for the purchase.
No arrests have been made and police say they are searching for two suspects who fled in a dark SUV.
