When is the Bodyguard’s final episode on BBC One?
Bodyguard’s final episode will air on BBC One this Sunday, September 23, at 9pm.
The Sun exclusively revealed the BBC have already extended the steamy drama’s finale by 15 minutes to make sure the high-octane drama delivers a suitably sensational finale.
The series thus far has had the nation gripped as episode five revealed that Julia Montague was secretly blackmailing the Prime Minister and bodyguard David Budd now in the possession of her “kompromat”.
Series creator Jed Mercurio revealed he’d be interested in returning to the political thriller but the BBC faces a fight to keep Bodyguard for season 2 as Netflix has bought the distribution rights.
Is Julia really dead?
Ahead of the explosive series finale, Personal Protection Officer David Budd, played by Richard Madden, is left more uncertain than ever about who he can and can’t trust.
We’re still no closer to knowing who set off the bomb and what exactly Julia knew that got her killed, however theories have emerged about how the BBC1 show could end.
Fans have speculated everything from The Prime Minister ordered Julia dead because she uncovered his murky past to Julia faking her own death.
The latter theory was strengthened after eagle-eyed fans spotted that Keeley Hawes was listed on the Internet Movie Database (IMDB.com) as appearing in the final episode.
