COPS are hunting a smirking convict who fled from prison after robbing a casino in Walsall.
Grant Walker, who smiled remorselessly in his mugshot, absconded from HMP Sudbury, in Derbyshire, on Tuesday.
He was serving a sentence of eight years and eight months for conspiracy to commit robbery, Birmingham Live reported.
Walker, Andrew Warley and Wayne Marsh were jailed for a combined 26 years for robbing a Grosvenor Casino in 2014.
Footage showed Walker and Marsh running into the building with machetes.
One of them waved the blade in the cashier’s face while the other emptied the drawers as Warley waited in the getaway car.
In September of the same year, Walker and another suspect raided a One Stop store in Wolverhampton.
The men threatened staff with an axe before fleeing with cash and cigarettes.
They were caught after trying to rob a Co-Op in Tipton later the same month.
They barely had the chance to count the £1,000 they bagged when West Midlands Police found and arrested them.
